BENTONVILLE, Ark. — On Oct. 9 community leaders from Bentonville and Crystal Bridges joined to break ground on a new playscape coming to the museum.
The new trail-wide playscape will be called Ozark Discovery Canopy and is expected to open to the public sometime in 2026.
The multi-generational playscape will be set in a wooded ravine between the museum and the campus parking plaza. Visitors will be able to explore a flowing creek, lounge on oversized swings, or race down a wide family sized slide.
"It is really about bringing people into nature in a way that they cannot normally experience it," Senior Manager of Outdoor Experience Samantha Best said. "The hope that we can get families down into nature in a whole new way."
