Since the middle of 2024, Trey Banks, owner of Hype House, says his designer shoe and clothing shop on 11 Mile Road near Main Street in downtown Royal Oak has been broken into five times.

The latest incident occurred early Thursday morning, just after midnight, when thieves—caught on camera—broke into the shop while it was closed and stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise over about a 90-minute stretch, WXYZ’s Simon Shaykhet reports . The men, whose faces were partially covered with ski masks, were captured on video.

“All the shoes, clothes. I sell a lot of high-end items — Louis, Dior, I get stuff from Japan. This time, they were thorough. Here about an hour and a half,” he told WXYZ.
