Four Welders Claim They Suffered Serious Injuries While Fleeing the Oct. 2 Refinery Explosion
Four contract workers injured in the recent Chevron refinery fire in El Segundo have filed a lawsuit against the company, alleging negligence and safety failures that they say led to the explosion and their injuries, as reported by ABC Eyewitness News.
The workers, who specialize in welding and were brought in from Texas and Louisiana, were on site when a section of the refinery erupted in flames on October 2. The men claim they were just 50 feet from the blast and had to flee for their lives as fire spread through the facility.
