New Ramps, Flyovers, Pedestrian Bridges Coming to LAX
Los Angeles International Airport is entering another phase of its ongoing modernization, as crews begin work on a $323 million project that will reshape how millions of passengers enter and exit one of the world’s busiest airports.
The Airfield and Terminal Modernization Project, led by construction firms Skanska and FlatironDragados, will add 4.4 miles of new roadways and introduce a redesigned traffic flow system for the airport’s central terminal area. The work includes a new network of ramps and flyovers that will redirect vehicles to a fresh entry point at Sepulveda Boulevard and 96th Street.
