After San Francisco-based Urban Alchemy came under scrutiny last month in Austin, Texas, where five employees were accused of “misrepresenting” client records, the nonprofit insisted the problem was isolated.
The organization, which provides homelessness services in Santa Fe and elsewhere, said no other city where it operates uses the same client data tracking system as the one in Austin.
“We do not use it in Santa Fe,” City of Santa Fe spokesperson Regina Ruiz confirmed.
However, a city official said in an interview this week that’s not the case.
