A commercial space-based connectivity company headquartered in Santa Fe has entered into an agreement with another firm to develop space-based communications products and services for use between orbiting spacecraft and for space-to-ground purposes.
The three-year agreement was announced Monday morning between Santa Fe’s Solstar Space Co. and Momentus Inc. The two companies will work together to develop and deliver the communications products and services.
The deal has a $15 million service value for the two companies, according to a news release.
Solstar and Momentus are finalizing preparations for a February 2026 spaceflight designed to demonstrate “real world use cases” for some of the systems included in the agreement, which cannot operate reliably and securely without persistent sp
