WESTMORLAND — The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) celebrated the completion of a major upgrade project at its main substation in Westmorland, Calif., enhancing energy system reliability and resiliency to serve its power customers long into the future.

The $1.7 million investment in this project is part of IID’s overall Powering Our Community Together initiative, in which more than 270 projects are planned during the next 15 years to modernize critical power infrastructure and enhance grid reliability and energy operations.
