Two of the big shopping centers on the island — Kukui Grove Center and The Shops at Kukuiula — have their gears in motion to provide a variety of family-friendly events for the fall.

Starting on Friday, Kukui Grove Center sports its fall decorations that include skeletons, spider webs and more to welcome the opening of the Halloween pop-up, MaliaKai Boo-tique, located adjacent to Jamba Juice.

Following the opening day that included free games, prizes, face painting and Showtime Characters’ appearances, MaliaKai Boo-tique will offer a wide variety of costumes, face masks and other Halloween novelties for all ages. It will be open on Fridays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Oct. 31.
