SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police said a disturbance at a south-side Whataburger early Saturday morning ended in gunfire after a security officer shot a man who pulled a gun on him in the parking lot.
According to SAPD, officers were dispatched around 2:26 a.m. to the Whataburger located on the 4700 block of I-35 South, for reports of a shooting.
Investigators said a disturbance occurred at the location between a man and the on-site security officer, during which the suspect was instructed to leave the premises. Before leaving, police said the man reportedly made verbal threats toward the guard.
