DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A week after the closure of the Dick's Sporting Goods in New Hope Commons, a revamped version of the store has opened at The Streets at Southpoint.

The new "Dick's House of Sport" debuted Friday in Durham, offering athletic gear alongside interactive spaces for customers to test equipment. It is the second of its kind in North Carolina, with the other located in Fayetteville.

The store features a climbing wall, golf bays, and a batting cage for baseball, softball, lacrosse, and soccer.

Former Duke basketball star Grant Hill attended the grand opening, meeting with fans and reflecting on his time in the area.
