For years, nostalgic Twin Cities residents held out hope that the Kitty Cat Klub, a longtime Dinkytown staple, would reopen.

In 2021, with the Minneapolis music venue and bar a year into its COVID-19 closure, owner John Rimarcik thought it might come back. That never happened, and last year, the street-level space was turned into a University of Minnesota "Safety Center." However, you can own a little piece of Dinkytown history.

The recognizable sign, with its large green cat eye, has been put up for sale on Facebook Marketplace.

The individual who listed it earlier this week has not responded to a request for comment. Nonetheless, the 21-foot-long sign could be yours for just a couple thousand dollars.
