MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A thief robbed a man after agreeing to sell him a car on Facebook Marketplace, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
MPD said a man found a black 2015 Infiniti Q50 on Facebook Marketplace and reached out to the owner. The two met up at the Chick-fil-A on Uptown Street around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to police, the buyer test drove the car and agreed to purchase it. But when he pulled out a "large sum of cash" to pay for the vehicle, police said the owner pulled out a gun and told him, "Give it here and get out of the car."
