On Saturday at 3:04 p.m. the National Weather Service released a wind advisory valid from Sunday noon until Monday 6 p.m. for Brooklyn and Queens as well as Suffolk and Nassau counties.

The weather service states, "Northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected."

"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," comments the weather service. "Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects."
