Glynn County Police Department said it arrested a 16-year-old accused of multiple car break-ins in the Ogden Drive area on Thursday morning.

Police said on Thursday morning at about 12:13 a.m., a resident on Ogden Drive reported a person seen on camera entering a vehicle.

GCPD said they saw a young man walking nearby wearing a hoodie, partial face covering and latex gloves.

Police said they spoke with the teen, detained him, then searched him and found a .25 caliber pistol, which was later confirmed to have been stolen from a separate car break-in, along with a screwdriver and flashlight.

Video evidence showed the teen had entered the same car the day before. Police said they contacted the teen’s parents and officers attempted an interview.
