CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Firefighters, police officers and other first responders gathered at The Bridge Sports Complex to compete in a basketball tournament on Saturday, Munster Madness, which raised money for Hero's Heaven, an organization that helps children and families.

In addition to basketball, a trunk or treat for children along with a costume contest. Children were welcome to attend for free, and adults were charged a $5 entry fee. All proceeds go to benefit Hero's Heaven Child Advocacy Center.

12 News spoke with Patty Saunders, Executive Director of Hero's Heaven, who expressed the importance of first responders interacting with the community and its children.
