MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — On Saturday, with rainy weather anticipated to take place throughout the weekend, some government agencies are warning travellers driving in southwest and south-central Colorado to be cautious for rockfall, slick roads and flooding.
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced that crews have been responding to several weather-related incidents along different highways, including in San Miguel County.
The San Miguel County Sheriff warned travellers of two separate rockfall incidents in different locations. Near the Ophir turnoff on Highway 145 at mile marker 64.5, a boulder described as the "size of a sedan" blocked the northbound lane. At Norwood Hill, deputies responded to a scene with heavy rockfall that blocked the eastbound lane. Officials w
