NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) -- Authorities are trying to track down a vehicle believed to be involved in a North Nashville hit-and-run crash from Tuesday night that led to a pedestrian's death.

The incident reportedly took place on Dr. D.B. Todd Jr. Boulevard, near Osage Street, shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a man was walking on the east side of the street when he was struck by an SUV that continued traveling northbound.

Officials said the victim -- identified as Mack Tyrone Cosby, 50, of Nashville -- was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, police asked the public for help finding the vehicle pictured below, which is believed to be the vehicle from the crash:
