Iowa State football is short on kickers these days, with starter Kyle Konrardy sidelined.

Backup Chase Smith, on the opening kickoff of the second half vs. Colorado on Oct. 11, appeared to get hurt and limped off the field. Smith did hit a PAT later on, but he did not take a kickoff following an ISU third-quarter score.
