FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police evacuated a home in Northwest Fresno after a call came in for a suspicious and possible explosive device found by caregivers of a foster child.
"One of the caregivers there gave us a call of a suspicious device they located. It appears to be possibly an explosive device. Our officers arrived, we evacuated that home and all the people inside the house are out and safe," said Fresno Police Department Lt. Alfonso Castillo.
The device was found near Marks and Celeste Avenues.
Several other nearby homes were also evacuated.
Police say there is currently "no threat" to the public.
