PAPILLION, Neb. (WOWT) - On Saturday, more than 2,200 neighbors headed to Werner Park to walk for a purpose.
Survivors and thrivers participated in the annual Susan G. Komen: More than Pink Walk , an annual event that celebrates and honors all impacted by breast cancer and remember the lives lost.
Decked out in pink, thousands walked for a purpose.
“We are out here to support all of our family members and church members that are cancer survivors and those who have passed on,” said participant Richard Payne.
“We all went to high school together and there are 7 of us and three of us are survivors,” said participant Kathleen Maceprang.
