Paul Graham’s 1-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter capped a 14-play drive to put Penncrest ahead for good Friday night in an 18-10 win over Marple Newtown.
It’s the fourth straight win for the Lions (6-2, 5-2 Central).
Graham’s touchdown gave the Lions a 12-10 edge. Penncrest came up with a fourth-down stop on the next drive, Orion Kolleh stuffing Brett Wolski for no gain on fourth-and-2. The Lions added a 19-yard score from Jeffrey Cropper on a fullback dive with 3:46 left, but a missed extra point left it a one-score game at 18-10.
Penncrest’s defense came up with a fourth-down stop with two and a half minutes left on a Kolleh sack.
The Tigers got the ball back with 46 seconds remaining, and Sean Grogan picked up a first down with a pass to Kieran Hennessy to midfield. Bu
