HAVERFORD – With less than a minute to go in the first half Saturday, Penn Charter sophomore Kingston Rountree darted across the middle, found open space, and hauled in a 19-yard strike from Tom McGlinchey.

It was his first career touchdown.

“A perfect throw,” Rountree said.

The TD was set up by an unexpected highlight from one of the Quakers’ big guys. Junior lineman A.J. Boule, the team’s leader in tackles this season, recorded his first career interception. The 6-foot, 260-pounder read Haverford quarterback Zach Faragalli’s eyes on a screen pass, got his hands up, and came down with the ball before rumbling 35 yards the other way.
