SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A Sioux Falls elementary school will be closing, after all.

Dakota News Now has obtained a letter from the Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools Board of Directors that was sent to parents, explaining that they had voted to uphold the original decision to move forward with the consolidation of the school at the end of the 2025-26 school year.

“This final decision was not made lightly, nor without deep appreciation for the passion and dedication expressed by members of the Christ the King community. The Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools Board of Directors carefully listened to, reviewed, and discussed the information presented and submitted. It clearly reflected a deep love for the school and a desire to see it thrive,” the letter reads.
