SHREVEPORT, La. - The Shreveport Train Museum hosted train day to showcase Shreveport's railroad heritage.
Speakers gave presentations about mid-century railroads in the Red River area, highlighting contributions made by Kansas City Southern Railroad.
Miniature trains travelled around a model of downtown Shreveport.
"There's lots of things for the kids to see. The model railroad depicting Shreveport in the mid-century. Plenty of trains running around, and several speakers showcased their notes this year," said Vice President Matt Tessier.
The Shreveport Railroad Museum is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday.
