Sunday morning, 23 people from Campbell County ran on the Mickelson Trail in South Dakota for the Run Crazy Horse Marathon and Half Marathon.

Seventeen Campbell County residents — 15 from Gillette, one from Rozet and one from Wright — completed the half marathon, and six Gillette runners finished the full marathon.

Noah Forrey won the 5K the day before with a time of 16 minutes, 36 seconds, and won the half marathon Sunday, finishing in 1 hour, 14 minutes and 11 seconds, more than a minute ahead of the second-place finisher.

Joshua Richardson was the fastest marathoner from Gillette, finishing 13th overall with a time of 3:35:25. And Hannah Pownall was first in her age group and the fourth fastest woman, finishing 18th with a time of 3:43:57.
