Philadelphia police are investigating after they said a security guard fatally shot a customer inside an IHOP restaurant in Center City overnight.

According to police, the incident happened just before midnight on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the IHOP located at Walnut and Juniper Streets.

Police said the customer, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to the hospital, and they died from their injuries.
