WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — The City of Waterbury says services are fully restored after a brief system shutdown occurred early Sunday morning to conduct a high-pressure main repair.

The shutdown occurred shortly after midnight on Huntingdon Avenue. City officials say the water system will gradually return to full pressure.

All residents who lost services must continue to boil their water before drinking it, as testing for bacteria is still ongoing. The boil water advisory does not apply to all customers, only those who lost service.

When test results are available, the city and the Department of Public Health will provide an update to affected residents.
