SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Two people were stabbed in Syracuse early in the morning on Sunday, October 12.

Just before 2 a.m. Syracuse Police officers were sent to the 100 block of Herkimer Street, a few blocks away from Lewis Park, for the report of a stabbing.

At the scene, they found two people who appeared to have been stabbed. A 24-year-old man had multiple cuts to his chest, and a 24-year-old woman had a stab wound to her leg.

The man was taken to Upstate University Hospital. The woman was treated at the scene. Their injuries are considered non-life-threatening.

The exact location of the stabbing has not been determined, police said.
