DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people are dead and another is in critical condition after a Saturday night three-vehicle crash in Butler County.

According to the Middletown Division of Police, the crash happened on S.R. 122 and Dixie Highway late Saturday evening.

Crews took three people from the crash to Atrium Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Officials said one person was pronounced dead on arrival at Atrium. The other two people were airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital, where one died and the other is currently in critical condition.

The names of the dead have not yet been released.

The crash is under active investigation by the Middletown Division of Police and the Butler County S.T.A.R.T. Team.
