BURLINGTON, Mass. —

More than 100 people gathered outside of an ICE detention facility in Burlington on Saturday morning to protest the agency's actions against migrants.

Protesters began their standout around 5 a.m. through 7 p.m.

Lots of flags and veterans joined the rally, opposing National Guard troops being used in US cities to fight crime.

There was a small group to oppose the rally but the demonstrations remained peaceful.

The Burlington ICE facility has not been without controversy.

Beginning in April, the office has seen weekly protests .

In May, 18-year-old Marcelo Gomes da Silva was on his way to volleyball practice when he was taken into custody by ICE agents.

The Milford High School student was held at the Burlington facility for days, sparking national attention.
