AUBURN — The history can't be taken away, but it's clear after Auburn football 's latest loss that the mystique of Jordan-Hare magic may be dead and gone.

It looked poised for a comeback early in an eventual 20-10 loss to No. 9 Georgia on Saturday, Oct. 11. Under the lights at Jordan-Hare Stadium , with Cam Newton 's jersey number retirement looming, the Tigers raced out to a two-possession lead midway through the second quarter. Then a questionable ruling resulted in a costly Auburn turnover at the goal line.

The Bulldogs outscored the Tigers 20-0 the rest of the way, and the result hammered the hard truth of the program's recent history : As the losses pile up, Auburn's home-field advantage is nothing more than history.
