Two teenage boys have been charged after allegedly attempting to rob a pair of younger teens with what turned out to be a replica pistol in Duncan last month.
On Sept. 8, at 6:18 pm, North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP received a report of two male youths aged 13 and 16 attempted to rob two male youths aged 14 and 15 on James Street.
RCMP members responded immediately and were able to locate the two male suspects nearby. Both youth males were arrested without further incident. Members located a weapon, a black replica pistol, during the search of the suspects.
One youth victim suffered minor facial physical injuries. Victim services are connecting with both youth victims.
