DENVER (KDVR) — Arvada police took two people into custody in connection to an armed robbery and carjacking in which a victim was shot multiple times Saturday night.

Officers just before 9 p.m. Saturday responded to a shooting in the area of West 54th Avenue and Harlan Street, the second shooting that day in the area but unrelated to the first one, the Arvada Police Department said.

Officers and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office deputies determined the shooting was in connection to an armed robbery and carjacking and that a victim had been shot multiple times.

The victim was taken to a hospital, and a police spokesperson Sunday morning said the victim is in stable condition.

The stolen vehicle was identified through Arvada's FLOCK Safety camera system, and officers pursued the suspects
