MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — West Virginia University President Michael T. Benson will deliver his first State of the University address on Monday.

Benson, who has been at the helm of the university since July, will be giving the address at 3 p.m. from the Fitzsimmons Event Hall at the WVU College of Law. The speech will come at the beginning part of the Faculty Senate meeting.

According to the university, Benson will be discussing his vision for WVU’s future.

In late August, Benson spoke about his strategic plan at the West Virginia Business Summit and released the university’s new mission statement. It reads, ““Bold futures start here.
