SAUGERTIES, N.Y. — Saugerties High’s football team did its part Saturday to set up a showdown of unbeatens against the state’s defending Class B football champions Port Jervis on Friday, Oct. 17.

The Sawyers improved to 4-0 in Section 9 Class B and 6-0 overall with a 41-18 victory over Rondout Valley on Saturday, Oct. 11.

Port Jervis (4-0, 6-0) blanked Marlboro 28-0 on Friday, Oct. 10. The Raiders have outscored their four Class B opponents 217-13, including a 61-6 rout of Rondout Valley on Sept. 12.

The clash between the last two Class B unbeatens will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday at Port Jervis.
