FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Less than two years after launching Arkansas Edge, the University of Arkansas will cut ties with NIL collective manager Blueprint Sports on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Why is Arkansas ending the partnership?

The decision follows federal court rulings that allow universities to negotiate NIL deals directly with athletes. Arkansas assumed all NIL agreements from Blueprint on July 1, after the House v. NCAA settlement.

“Since that time, the two parties explored future opportunities, but a clear solution never developed,” the athletics department said in a Oct. 6 news release.
