A man in his 40s has been left in a critical condition after he was reportedly doused in petrol and set alight . ‌

He was rushed to hospital following a "serious assault" in Knockane, in Ireland's County Tipperary, on Saturday evening. ‌

Two men aged in their 20s have since been arrested in connection with the incident. ‌

The pair remain in police custody on Sunday, the Mirror reports .
