Los Angeles hosted the inaugural Diplo’s Run Club 5K on Sunday, with thousands of runners joining the Grammy-winning DJ and producer for a run and mini festival.

The race took place Sunday morning at Los Angeles State Historic Park. More than 12,000 runners were said to have registered for the event, which includes a Diplo performance at the end of the run.

In fact, as part of his Run Club, every city Diplo hosts the event in, he performs post-run. On Sunday, he was joined by a fellow DJ – Dillon Francis – for both the 5K and the performance.

The course brought runners along the L.A. River, through Chinatown and across some of the city’s most scenic bridges.

All participants received Diplo’s Run Club merchandise, and brand partners offered free gifts.
