RAWLINS -- Rawlins Police Department arrested a suspect who allegedly vandalized a number of properties.
Between Aug. 26 and Sept. 20 of this year the Rawlins Police Department (RPD) received 17 reports of property destruction involving a projectile consistent with a BB or pellet, according to an Oct. 10 press release.
The damaged property included vehicles and structures, both businesses and privately-owned. Many of the crimes were discovered by Rawlins police officers while canvassing after receiving initial reports.
Due to the pattern of crimes committed over a period of time and area, RPD conducted an extensive investigation and identified a suspect. On Oct. 9, RPD arrested a suspect. The defendant will not be identified until formal charges are filed with the Carbon County Circuit
