WYOMING, Mich. — Two people are in custody following an armed carjacking in Wyoming on Sunday morning.
According to the Wyoming Police Department (WPD), around 11 a.m. police responded to the 2700 block of 44th Street SW for a report of an armed carjacking.
The preliminary investigation showed that at least one armed person had forcibly taken the victim's vehicle and left the area.
With help from multiple West Michigan law enforcement agencies, police found the stolen vehicle in the 5100 block of 28th Street SE.
The suspects, a man and a woman, were charged with carjacking and are being held at the Kent County Correctional Facility.
WPD thanked the Kent County Sheriff's Office and the Kentwood Police Department for their help in apprehending the suspects.
