The Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy has awarded its Adaptive Reuse Award to developers KABR Group and Kushner for their $30 million redevelopment of the 1913 Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Warehouse.

The property, which is now the Arts & Powerhouse Building , is located at 130 Bay St. in Jersey City’s Powerhouse Arts District.

It was restored to maintain its historic character and adapted into a modern mixed-use landmark featuring flexible office, commercial, retail, and creative spaces.

The award was presented in September at the “Save the Powerhouse 2025 Preservation Awards” ceremony.

The event celebrated 26 years of the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy’s efforts to promote historic preservation in the city.
