A nor’easter storm whipping high winds, heavy rain and flooding at New Jersey on Sunday still has more dangerous weather ahead.

“Significant impacts from a strong coastal storm are ongoing and will continue through Monday,” the National Weather Service said in an update Sunday evening.

“The greatest impacts continue for coastal communities and marine zones, which are seeing significant coastal flooding, substantial beach erosion and dune breaching, strong to damaging winds, and significant waves.”

All 21 New Jersey counties remain under a state of emergency that took effect at 10 p.m. Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued high wind warnings that run through 6 a.m. Monday and coastal flood warnings that extend to 8 p.m. Monday.
