INDIANAPOLIS — A shocking pair of accidents hit the Colts before they even took the field on Sunday.

First, Anthony Richardson suffered an orbital bone fracture while working with resistance bands, forcing the team’s backup quarterback to head to the hospital instead of the playing field. Then cornerback Charvarius Ward collided with tight end Drew Ogletree during pregame warmups, knocking Ward out of the game with his second concussion of the season.

Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen held an impromptu locker room meeting to focus his team, a team in shock at the sudden loss of two players.

“We had to kind of rally the troops there in the locker room, get us back into focus,” Steichen said.
