THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) — Amy Gonzalez Jackson is set to make history in Thomas County, becoming the first Hispanic female attorney to be sworn into the Thomas County Judicial Circuit.

Her journey into law was inspired by a desire to serve her community, particularly minorities and the Hispanic population in South Georgia.

Gonzalez Jackson grew up in Bainbridge and graduated from Valdosta State University in 2016 before attending Faulkner University’s law program in Montgomery, Alabama. She said that she realized the significance of her achievement only after passing the Georgia state bar.
