LONGVIEW Wash. (KPTV) - A “possible tornado” destroyed the roof of one business building in Longview and damaged three others on Sunday afternoon, according to the Longview Fire Department.

According to firefighters, the City of Longview is assessing the damage caused by a “weather event” near 14th Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.

At least four commercial buildings were damaged in some way by what witnesses called a funnel cloud or a possible tornado.

One building completely lost its roof, and the roofing materials blown by the wind hit a nearby building, severely damaging its roof as well. Two other buildings on the same block had lightly damaged roofs.

The buildings were occupied at the time, but no one was reported hurt.
