In the third quarter of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, almost immediately after it was announced that star rookie wideout Emeka Egbuka was out of the contest due to a hamstring injury, Baker Mayfield was swarmed over by a gang of defenders deep in the backfield on third-and-14. Mayfield somehow emerged from the pack still on his feet and started off downfield, evading several tacklers and diving to extend the ball just past the first-down marker. A delirious Raymond James Stadium crowd launched into a passionate chant of, "MVP! MVP!"
