SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas (KETK) - Cross Spur Cowboy Church got back in the saddle on Saturday by holding their first rodeo at their newly rebuilt arena, which was destroyed by storms in March.
The church's rodeo arena was destroyed in March when severe storms hit the Sulphur Springs area with 90 to 95 mile-per-hour winds. Cross Spur Cowboy Church Pastor Mike Easton said that it was a blessing to be back in their arena, after months of work and construction.
"They handed it over to me three weeks ago, finished and done. They did a phenomenal job and guys from the church came together and we've been out here nonstop for the last three weeks just putting in the work.
