New store being built off of Main Street in Hurricane

HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Dirt has been set just off of Main Street in Hurricane beside Whitt’s Farm Supply.

Mayor Scott Edwards says a new DG Market is going to be built in between the Whitt’s Farm Supply and a new home development. 400+ new homes are expected to be built in that land.

Mayor Edwards says the land was sold to a by a private, local owner. The purchaser then decided to build a DG Market in that plot.

There’s still no word on when construction will begin or when the store will be open.
