ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Lola Deascentiis, a senior at Harvard, along with dozens of other Harvard students, is spending her hard-earned income to help strangers across the world.
“I think especially at a university with so much wealth and privilege, this is like the bare, bare minimum," Lola Deascentis, a senior Harvard student and representative for the group of tutors, said.
Deascentis was raised in Rochester, but made her way to Cambridge, where she, along with dozens of her peers, is offering tutoring help to raise funds to support families struggling to survive in Gaza.
