The City of South Bend has officially opened its new City Hall building.
After purchasing the former South Bend Community School Corporation administration building in October 2022, the City’s team has been planning and working hard for years.
Mayor James Mueller says the move brings several city departments under one roof, creating a more efficient and accessible service center for residents.
Starting in November, all public city meetings will take place in the new Council Chambers on the third floor. Residents can access utilities, permits, and customer service in the new lobby center, with free two-hour parking nearby.
City Hall will be open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
